Hosting built in Tanzania, for people building here.
MocodeHost is a product of Mocode. We deploy applications, run managed databases, host email on your own domain and store your files — from one dashboard, on one monthly bill you can pay by mobile money.
We started it because the alternatives did not fit. Global platforms charge per seat in a currency most of our customers do not hold, and they do not sell email at all. Local shared hosting is affordable but gives you no control, no database you can trust, and no way to deploy from Git. This sits in between, deliberately.
What we believe
Email is part of hosting
Every hosting package includes mailboxes on your own domain. Most platforms make you buy that separately from someone else, at a price per person that quietly exceeds the hosting itself.
Built for how Tanzania pays
Prices are monthly and payable by mobile money or card. You are not asked for a foreign card, an annual commitment, or a currency you do not hold.
Your own resources, not a shared pool
Each application gets its own container with guaranteed memory and CPU. Nobody else's traffic spike slows your site down.
Your data stays yours
Database credentials are never stored by us. Files are private by default, and links to them expire. If you leave, you take everything.
Where we are today
MocodeHost is young, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise. We are a small team, we answer our own support, and the person who replies to you can usually fix the problem themselves. That is an advantage while it lasts, and we intend to keep it as we grow.
We also build Mocode Connect, a WhatsApp messaging API used by businesses across Tanzania, and the payment infrastructure behind both. The same team runs all of it.
Talk to us
Before you commit to anything, ask us whether it will actually work for what you are building. If it will not, we will tell you.
